Do you like having plants around you? Some homes look like you step into the rainforest, while others look sterile like an operating room. As always, a healthy medium between these two extremes is a good goal. While many homeowners don’t want the extra work that having live plants can mean, there are some benefits to having live plants, besides the visual appeal.

Plants do a lot for the air quality in your home. They remove pollutants from the air, lowering the amount of harmful chemicals in the air you breathe. On the other hand, the other extreme, where you have so many plants that it looks like a jungle can be harmful to your home since plants can add a lot of humidity to the air. It is also important to avoid using a fertilizer with indoor plants since the chemicals released into the air could be harmful to your health as well.
